Milos Winery is a family winery known mostly for its red wines from the indigenous Plavac Mali grape variety, its award-winning extra virgin olive oil, and more recently, its unique white wine called Stalagmit.
The grapes come exclusively from its own 15 hectares of vineyards on the steep, hand-cultivated terraces of the Peljesac peninsula, near the town of Ponikve. The vineyards are maintained in a completely ecological manner, and the wines are produced using natural vinification techniques combined with long maturation in large Slavonian oak barrels. This guarantees large, elegant wines that strongly reflect the nature of Peljesac (a reflection of the terroir) and the Plavac mali grape variety.
