Enjingi

Koloman Enjingi planted the first vines in Hrnjevac, on the slopes of Krndija, back in 1890. Today, the entire Kutjevo and Požega region knows that with the first Graševina and Kadarka vines, he established the most prestigious family tradition of grape growing and wine production in the entire area. He managed to pass on his love for vineyards and the secrets of his own cellar to his son Martin, who introduced his son, Koloman's granddaughter Vaclava, into the family business. The third generation of Enjingis managed to preserve their family farm during turbulent political and war times. Finally, in 1957, great-grandson Ivan took over the vineyards with around 2,000 vines. Ivan diligently developed production, and in 1972, he stopped the previous business custom of selling wine in barrels and, by offering wine exclusively in bottles, bravely stepped into a completely new period of the traditional family business. His strategy proved to be commercially effective. He continued to work and create, following his own philosophy and refining his greatest love, the love for nature, vineyards, wine... In the market environment that surrounds us, he skillfully directs the energy that has been refined in the family over a century of experience and effectively continues to develop the Croatian wine brand.
