In the early 2000s, many visitors to Istria were looking for bisca, a traditional mistletoe brandy, and of all the brands from this area, the most famous is the one from Hum. At that time, my parents had an art gallery and souvenir shop in Hum, and in response to numerous inquiries from tourists about indigenous local products, we decided to make several types of brandy for tasting and sale in that gallery. At first, it was just a hobby that later grew into a business. When my wife and I returned from college, we started seriously dedicating ourselves to the work and development of the company, hiring employees, branding and opening stores. From the first day, keeping in mind the top quality of the product as a priority. From the initial production for our own needs to the present day, with everyday challenges and persistent work, we created our family company Aura. Mišel Sirotić, owner and director.
